There are a number of different titles I fall under, Computer Scientist, Software Engineer, Web Developer or Technical Analyst. Pick which one you will, there all todo with making computers useful, and thats exactly what I aim to do.

I've spent my previous summers gaining practical work experience, and have volunteered at Orb Arts by providing technical support and assistant. This upcoming summer I shall be taking it to the next level, by finding out what the corporate / financial world ("that is the City of London") is really like, by interning at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Afterwards I will then be returning for my final year at the University of Sheffield, where I'll be completing a Masters in Computing.

A summer internship as a technical analyst in Merrill Lynch's London offices.

University of Sheffield - Masters in Computing

The course includes programming, agile methods, data structures, software testing, databases, 3D graphics, games technology and IBM mainframes. My dissertation, titled “The JWalk Editor”, involves investigating automated unit testing and integration into the development process, to allow for automated testing on classes.

Orb Arts - Mentor and Web Developer

Whilst working at Orb I maintained and updated their website. The existing website had been created over several years by a number of people, each who took slightly different approaches. I was tasked with bringing it all together so the whole website was consistent.
